Captain Hirams was opened up in 1987 by owner Tom Collins. It began as a small raw bar and marina with a boat ramp that he named after his grandfather Sargeant Hiram Collins. He had a grand vision and that was to grow "Hirams"  into the premier resort destination that it is today.  Now run by son Will Collins the resort and full service marina is a draw for people from across the country.
